LayerX Technologies is a fully owned subsidiary of Shared Technologies (News - Alert) Inc. Headquartered in Coppell, Texas and established in 2006, the company offers advanced security threat life-cycle management and policy enforcement solutions to its enterprise clientele and security service providers.
LayerX solution offering is based on a secure transport architecture, which helps companies merge their existing security infrastructure into a solitary “virtual system.” This system enables timely detection of threats, defending the network against any probable damage.
LayerX recently introduced its threat sharing and mitigation solution by the name of THREAT-SHARE. According to the company, THREAT-SHARE is the industry’s maiden real-time solution that assists customers in exchanging real-time threat information. The customers stand to benefit from early detection of threats and are subsequently able to defend their networks against exterior attacks.
LayerX plans to distribute this solution as an optional policy module via its security management platform, Arbitrator and as a managed perimeter protection service through Shared Technologies Inc. simultaneously.
This unique offering facilitates automated exchange of real-time threat information amongst network companies through the Arbitrator systems. It further integrates automated response management with threat mitigation rules. The information thus assembled from various external sources enables customers identify and guard themselves against threats.
Vice president of Market Development for LayerX, Michael Kay, said in a statement, “Today’s networks are constantly being probed for vulnerabilities by a combination of scanning devices and malicious applications. In this environment attacks can come from almost any source and can appear, spread, and disappear in an instant; leaving enterprises in a constant struggle to predict the next attack with yesterday’s information.
“With Threat-Share, enterprises can be instantly aware of malicious activities within their own network and within the community surrounding them. This information, combined with Arbitrator’s automated threat mitigation capability, enables clients to prepare for and defend themselves against attacks before they even arrive,” he added.
Security of sophisticated network systems still remains a top priority of most companies. Threats present in their own networks or their neighborhoods are often pernicious; in that respect, THREAT-SHARE solution by LayerX is a revolutionary offering, which checks and remove threats before they cripple any network.
